Morley businessman announced as Patron of The Principle Trust Children’s Charity
The Principle Trust Children’s Charity has announced the appointment of Liam Burton as a Patron, supporting its mission of providing free respite breaks to children facing adversity.
Liam is the founder of Roof Spec, a Leeds roofing company. With over 20 years of hands-on experience and being based in Morley himself, Liam and his team specialise in domestic roofing, emergency call-outs and free roof surveys across all districts of Leeds.

The business has recently launched a new company under its umbrella, Resix, which delivers industrial roofing solutions using a resin system designed to encapsulate asbestos.
As patron, Liam will help raise the profile of The Principle Trust while supporting its fundraising efforts to “earn as much as possible to help the community”. As a proud dad to his adopted daughter Wynter, Liam has seen first-hand the importance of supporting children in difficult circumstances.
Liam Burton, Founder of Roof Spec, said: “I am a charitable person and try to do something in Leeds each year to help those in need. I’ve previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge and we usually spend Christmas Day visiting the homeless.
"What really made me fall in love with the charity was speaking to Kerry, understanding the mission, knowing the founder and why they set up the charity.
“My daughter Wynter would have been in a similar situation if we hadn’t adopted her, so we are passionate about raising as much as possible for such a great cause.”
As a keen walker, Liam will be walking Hadrian’s Wall, aiming to complete the 73-mile route over the course of three days to raise money for charity.
Kerry Magson, Partnerships and Engagement Manager at The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, also added: “We’re proud to welcome Liam to The Principle Trust Children’s Charity and feel honoured to have his support.
"We work collaboratively with our patrons to achieve the greatest possible impact for the vulnerable children we support.
"Liam’s fundraising will contribute to our respite breaks, which are proven to help improve mental health and wellbeing, aid recuperation and help families in difficulty have a more positive outlook.”
