Ovenu Leeds North West strengthens team to support growing demand for five-star service
Surging demand has prompted Dean Chew, owner of Ovenu Leeds North West, to recruit a new oven technician to support his growing client base.
The move comes as the oven cleaning service surpasses an impressive 2,000 five-out-of-five star reviews on respected customer feedback platform Trustist, underlining its reputation for a consistently high-quality service.

Mr Chew, from Roundhay, said the increase in work had led to long days and weekend working in order to keep up with appointments.
“Demand has grown significantly, which is fantastic, but it’s also meant long days and working weekends to ensure I don’t let clients down,” he said.
“As the business has grown, it’s been really important to make sure we have the right people in place who share our commitment to quality. Bringing Tom on board, with all his experience, means we can continue delivering high standards, while increasing our availability.
“Reaching over 2,000 maximum five-star reviews is a huge milestone for the business and something I’m incredibly proud of. It reflects the care and attention we put into every job.”
The company has appointed experienced technician Tom Dunning, who recently returned to Leeds from Cambridgeshire. His arrival is expected to help reduce waiting times for customers across areas including Horsforth, Pudsey, Otley and Ilkley.
Mr Dunning said: “I’ve previously worked as an oven cleaner, so I’m looking forward to getting started straight away to both meet demand and help the business expand further.”
Mr Chew took over the franchised business in 2020, having previously worked as an oven technician. His career spans a range of industries, including 19 years as a stage technician with Opera North and Northern Ballet, as well as roles in television props.
Before entering business, he also worked in healthcare as an NHS orthopaedic plaster technician and returned to frontline duties during the Covid-19 pandemic, spending 12 weeks as a locum with York and Scarborough Hospital Trust.
The oven cleaning service involves dismantling components such as doors, panels and shelves before cleaning them in specialist tank equipment using non-caustic and biodegradable products. The company also cleans hobs, extractor hoods, microwaves and range cookers.
