Sandcastle contest to mark return of Summer Beach at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds

Families are invited to make a day of it at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds, formerly Junction 32, as its popular beach returns with a free sandcastle competition offering more than 90 fantastic prizes.

Taking place on Monday July 20, the free event will see children compete across two Sandcastle Showdowns at noon and 1.30pm.

Every child who takes part will receive a participation medal and, subject to availability, a prize donated by participating retailers.

Taking place on Monday 20th July, the free event will see children compete across two Sandcastle Showdowns at 12pm and 1.30pm. | Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds

The winners of the Tallest Sandcastle, Most Creative Design and Judges' Favourite categories will also take home some of the day's biggest prizes, including a VTech Kidizoom watch and a Paddington Football Playset.

Thanks to the generosity of the outlet's retailers, more than 90 prizes will be up for grabs, including toys, games, gift sets, books, backpacks, watches and other family favourites from Luke 1977, Precious Little One, The Works, Beauty Outlet, The Gift Company, Clarks, Baggage Factory, The Sweet Emporium and more.

The competition marks the launch of the outlet's much-loved summer beach, which will remain open from Monday July 20 until August 30.

Alongside free beach fun, families can discover more than 85 outlet stores, enjoy year-round savings of up to 70 per cent off and make the most of a range of cafés and restaurants, making Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds the perfect place to spend a summer day together.

What's more, the summer fun doesn't stop there. Throughout the school holidays, Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds will be partnering with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance to deliver a range of family-friendly activities, helping to raise vital funds for the charity.

Visitors can take part in a Heli Hunt trail running throughout the six-week beach activation for just £1, where families can follow clues around the outlet for the chance to win a £100 voucher.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance will also host mascot appearances, a colouring station, bucket collections and interactive displays, including a wooden helicopter, deckchairs and themed photo opportunities.
