Richard Leavis, Corporate Fundraiser at St George’s Crypt, said: “Although Christmas is a happy time for many, it can also highlight the real struggles some people face. We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their efforts in donating warm clothing to those experiencing homelessness during the winter months. Their contribution will make a real difference to people in need.”

Lisa Waugh, Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, said: “St George’s Crypt provides vital service and support to homeless people and we hope that our donation will go some way to providing some comfort to those without a home this Christmas.

“It was a wonderful team effort with some of our staff even knitting and crocheting hats and scarves to donate. People also collected money so that they could buy items in bulk. We also introduced a 12 days of Christmas theme, and gave each of our departments a type of item to collect and made it a competition to see which department could collect the most. We are really delighted that all this support meant we could donate 1,120 items to St George’s Crypt.”
