Tenpin Dewsbury launches £1,000 community scheme to help local causes
Tenpin Dewsbury is calling on local residents to nominate a deserving community group, charity or initiative for the chance to receive a £1,000 donation as part of its new community support scheme.
The initiative aims to recognise and reward the organisations and volunteers making a positive difference across Dewsbury and the surrounding area.
From grassroots sports clubs and youth groups to charities and volunteer projects, Tenpin wants to hear about the local causes that matter most to the community.
Launching today, people can submit nominations via an online entry form until entries close on Thursday July 30.
Once nominations have closed, the three organisations receiving the highest number of nominations will progress to a public vote. Voting boxes will be placed inside Tenpin Dewsbury, where visitors can cast their vote for the local cause they would like to receive the funding.
Voting will take place on site at Tenpin Dewsbury across six weeks, from Monday August 3 to Friday September 11. The good cause with the most votes will receive the £1,000 donation.
Marc Couget, Regional Manager at Tenpin Dewsbury, said: "At Tenpin, we're proud to be part of the Dewsbury community and want to support the incredible organisations and volunteers who work tirelessly to make a real difference.
"This scheme gives local people the opportunity to champion the causes they care about most, and we're excited to see the community come together to help choose the winner.”
Anyone wishing to nominate a local group, charity or community initiative is encouraged to complete the nomination form before the closing date.
