Growing up in South Yorkshire, I have a deep connection to this part of the world. Since graduating from the University of Lincoln in 2023, I’ve written for each of the county’s major publications; interning at the Rotherham Advertiser, before finding full-time work at the Barnsley Chronicle where I stayed for two years. In 2025, I joined The Star, completed my National Qualification in Journalism and now work as a Senior Reporter, which has seen me get published in the Doncaster Free Press, as well as titles like the Yorkshire Post and Derbyshire Times. Despite my more recent graduation, I tend to have more of an ‘old-world’ news sense. I’m interested in politics, emergency incidents, planning policy and what would traditionally be referred to as ‘hard news’.
