Superdrug unveils massive new 'experience-led' store at White Rose Shopping Centre

White Rose Shopping Centre has welcomed a major upgrade to its beauty offering today as Superdrug officially opened the doors to its brand-new, upsized store.

Spanning 7,140 sq. ft., the new unit replaces the retailer’s previous smaller site at the centre, with the expansion part of a major 2026 growth strategy for the brand, which plans to launch 30 new stores across the UK this year.

The upsized Leeds branch has been designed as a ‘beauty destination’ rather than a traditional shop, offering a significantly enhanced environment for shoppers.

At the heart of the new space is a dedicated Beauty Studio, where customers can access professional and affordable treatments, including nail, brow, and piercing services.

The store also features a new nurse-led aesthetic clinic; this specialised facility provides a range of professional services, from essential travel vaccinations to cosmetic enhancements such as anti-wrinkle treatments and skin-boosting procedures.

The retail offering has been equally transformed with a focus on extensive product ranges.

Visitors can now browse a vast selection of global beauty brands alongside Superdrug’s popular own-label collections, including the Studio London cosmetics range and high-performance skincare lines such as Me+, Vitamin E, and B. Skin.

Shoppers visiting the new store can also take advantage of the Health & BeautyCard VIP Rewards scheme, offering exclusive lower prices and birthday treats.

Speaking about the White Rose Centre opening, Superdrug COO Simon Comins commented: "With this larger space, we’ve created an immersive destination designed for today’s beauty customer.

“This store offers a more engaging, experience-led approach that goes beyond traditional retail."

It was a sentiment also echoed by Steven Forster, Centre Director at White Rose: "The exciting new space enhances our guests’ experience and reflects the continued confidence that brands have in the centre. We look forward to seeing customers enjoy the new offering."
