Getting in touch with your GP surgery is vital for everything from booking appointments to reordering prescriptions or inquiring about test results.
The latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England, highlights patients’ experiences with their GP surgeries, including those that are hardest to reach by phone.
More than 700,000 patients in England completed the 2025 survey, which was carried out between January and March last year, with the results of the 2026 survey expected to be released in July. It gathers information on how patients feel about their local GP and their experiences with the reception and administrative team at their practice.
However, not all GP surgeries met expectations. Here we reveal the GP surgeries in Leeds that patients have voted the hardest to get in touch with by phone. Surgeries are ranked by the proportion of patients who described their experience as 'very difficult or fairly difficult' to get through to their GP practice by phone.
