As yesterday (March 23) was the hottest June day on record, it is safe to say that the UK is experiencing a record-breaking heatwave.
As temperatures heat up, an Amber extreme heat warning has been issued across Leeds reminding us to keep safe in the sun.
But when everywhere feels hot, where can you go to cool off?
Luckily, Leeds City Council has launched a network of free, accessible indoor spaces available across the city where people can rest, stay hydrated.
The venues are welcoming and accessible spaces across Leeds which offer a cooler indoor environment with access to seating and drinking water.
These community hubs, libraries, leisure centres and neighbourhood venues are open to everyone and no prior booking is required.
