Whether you are heading to Roundhay Festival for one day or all three, you won’t want to get caught out by the weather. It is, mercifully, set to be cooler than during the recent heatwave, but will the rain stay away?
BBC Weather has issued a first look forecast for the duration of the festival this weekend. Here’s what to expect:
Friday, July 3
It is set to be sunny with a moderate breeze, according to the forecast. There may also be some cloudy spells throughout the day.
Leeds is expected to have highs of 22C and lows of 14C on Friday. Pitbull will be the last act performing and is due on stage around 9pm - and it is expected to still be a mild 18C at that point.
Saturday, July 4
For day two of Roundhay Festival, the early outlook is similar to Friday. The BBC Weather forecast is for light clouds and a moderate breeze.
Highs of 21C and lows of 15C are expected, with the warmest weather predicted between 2pm and 6pm. Although there is a risk of some rain between 3pm and 4pm, according to the forecast.
During Lewis Capaldi’s set at the end of the day, it will be around 19C. There is potential for it to drop to 18C over the course of his performance.
Sunday, July 5
The final day of Roundhay Festival is set to take place on Sunday. According to the BBC Weather forecast, the current outlook is extremely similar to the other days.
It is expected to be cloudy throughout the day with a moderate breeze, potentially making it feel a tad bit cooler. Highs of 21C and lows of 15C are currently expected.
Just like day one and two, it will be slightly cooler by the time the headline act performs. But it is still expected to be between 19C and 18C.
