The Everton star who should 'worry' Leeds United in Premier League clash
Leeds United will face Everton on Monday night in the final fixture of the Premier League weekend.
Leeds United will pay a first ever visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium when they face Premier League rivals Everton on Monday night.
The Whites head into their trip to Merseyside on the back of two consecutive wins after following up their FA Cup third round victory at Championship club Derby County with a dramatic late win in last weekend’s home clash with Fulham. The latter of those triumphs ensured Daniel Farke’s men are sitting five points clear of the relegation zone and they have got themselves into a positive position to ensure their top flight stay is extended beyond a solitary season.
Everton have their eyes on a European place this season and their impressive 1-0 win at Aston Villa ensured they will head into Monday’s meeting with the Whites knowing a win could lift them as high as seventh in the table. That is an impressive turnaround during the first full season of David Moyes’ second managerial reign as the former Manchester United and Sunderland boss reaps the benefits of some intriguing moves in the transfer market.
However, it is one player signed by Moyes’ predecessor Sean Dyche who should worry Leeds United according to the YEP’s Graham Smyth as he assessed what could lie in wait for the Whites in their first visit to Everton’s new home.
Which Everton player should ‘worry’ Leeds United?

Speaking on the latest episode of the Inside Elland Road podcast, The YEP’s chief football writer Graham Smyth said of Toffees star Iliman Ndiaye: “His ball carrying ability worries me. The way he goes past players as if they’re not even there is just fantastic, the roulettes, the stepovers, jinking in and out, he’s absolutely brilliant to watch. He is capable of unlocking a defence at any level. Grealish being out is a positive because it feels like he’s found a bit of a home at Everton, he seems really at home there. He’s another player I love, I don’t so much love when he faces up a defender and then goes back and passes the ball inside ways or backwards or cuts in and looks for a cross. Sometimes I feel like he could mix it up a bit more and go past people a bit more. I feel like he did that a bit more earlier in his career, risked a bit more. He retains the ball a bit more but it’s at the cost of excitement.”
