Leeds United warning sent as Bournemouth hit incredible run and manager speaks out

Leeds United will need to end Bournemouth’s hot streak if they are to win any Premier League points on Saturday.

Bournemouth boss Marco Rose has challenged his squad to keep their incredible run of results going when they face Leeds United on Saturday.

Leeds’ weekend hosts are in red-hot form with a 3-0 Carabao Cup fourth round win over Aston Villa on Wednesday their fifth in a row. The Cherries have won four of those games by the same three-goal scoreline and kept clean sheets on every occasion.

That relentless run of form has come across three competitions but in the Premier League, Bournemouth match Leeds with two wins and are six places below the Whites. New boss Rose is starting to make a positive impact but wants more, starting on Saturday.

"Clean sheet and three goals again - I could get used to it, but it's hard work,” he told Sky Sports following Wednesday’s win over Villa. “It was a nice game to watch from both sides, and we are happy that we won.

"We had eight changes today, and everyone played on a really good level. We are relentless, so it's the attitude and the effort. It showed we have competition, quality and that everyone is ready.

"It's good. We are unpredictable in this stuff. For us, it's about increasing the confidence. It's now about recovering, and don't talk about what's happened and the past, and we need to go for more wins in the league as well and our next challenge is Leeds."

Bournemouth’s hot streak has come at an unfortunate time for Leeds, whose reputation for being hard to beat will be seriously tested on Saturday. Daniel Farke’s side have only lost once, at Arsenal, and have the league’s second-best defensive record behind the Gunners.

A 0-0 draw at Sunderland last weekend kept those positive markers intact but Leeds are struggling to generate chances at the other end. A rock-solid Bournemouth defence will make it difficult again for Farke’s attackers.

Rose was also able to rotate his side in midweek, with the likes of Justin Kluivert, Tyler Adams and Rayan initially starting on the bench while top-scorer Marcus Tavernier could be substituted at half-time. Striker Evanilson was given the night off entirely.

The Cherries are also welcoming back Eli Junior Kroupi, who scored home and away against Leeds last season including an added-time equaliser at Elland Road. The young French forward got 11 minutes off the bench against Villa.
