Leeds United will have the chance to take another step towards Premier League safety when they host relegated Burnley on Friday. Daniel Farke’s side reached the magic 40-point mark with a dramatic 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last week but the feeling is they probably need another win in this most competitive of relegation battles.
Farke is hoping to get that extra win as quickly as possible but will welcome Burnley to Elland Road without at least two first-team players. Ilia Gruev’s season was cut short last week while on Thursday, it was revealed that Gabriel Gudmundsson is out for at least the next two games with a hamstring injury.
The Leeds boss also provided a rather concerning update on two more hugely important players, albeit one recent positive is the return of Anton Stach. Opponents Burnley also have a few injury issues to manage and below, the YEP has rounded up the latest team news from both sides ahead of Friday’s Elland Road meeting.

1. OUT: Josh Cullen
The combative Burney captain suffered an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury in December and required surgery. This week, Cullen said he's through the worst of the rehab but the midfielder is still expected to be out for several months more. | Getty Images

2. OUT: Jordan Beyer
Another long term injury, with the 25-year-old suffering a meniscus knee injury against Luton in October 2023 before a hamstring injury last summer. No sign of a return to play any time soon. | Getty Images

3. OUT: Connor Roberts
The former Leeds loanee has been out with an Achilles injury and is yet to feature this season. Parker said last month that Roberts was only in the early stages of his recovery and last week confirmed his defender remained unavailable. | Getty Images

4. DOUBT: Zeki Amdouni
Like Roberts, Amdouni is yet to feature this season while working his way back from an ACL injury suffered in the summer. The 25-year-old has been back in training, however, and Parker recently hinted he could be involved before the season is over. | Getty Images

5. DOUBT: Hannibal Mejbri
The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in last month's 3-1 defeat at Fulham and has not featured since. Parker admitted last week that while a return vs Manchester City was unlikely, Hannibal could be involved at Elland Road. He said: "Maybe heading towards Leeds is probably a better option or certainly one which we hope to have him back." | Cody Froggatt/PA Wire

6. DOUBT: Axel Tuanzebe
The defender has been out since February with an Achilles injury, albeit he featured for DR Congo during the March international break. It's unclear exactly what the issue is or how severe. | AFP via Getty Images
