Leeds United and Chelsea FA Cup semi-final Wembley date and kick-off time set with TV details revealed

Leeds United will head to Wembley later this month for a first FA Cup semi-final in 39 years.

Leeds United have learned the date and kick-off time of their FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea at Wembley.

The Whites and their opponents will know who awaits them in the final by the time they kick off, having been given the Sunday slot. Leeds' game on Sunday April 26 will kick off at 3pm and be shown live on TNT, with Manchester City and Southampton meeting a day earlier in the first semi-final, scheduled to be televised by the BBC.

It is thought that the Premier League programme and number of fanbases in and around the nation's capital on the Saturday played some part in the decision to make Leeds' clash with historic rivals the Sunday game. But an invasion of 30,000-plus Leeds fans will now coincide with the 2026 London Marathon.

The Premier League has already rescheduled Leeds' visit to Bournemouth, initially slated for Saturday April 25 at 3pm, for Wednesday April 22. Chelsea also play in midweek prior to the cup tie, but kick off at Brighton 24 hours earlier on the Tuesday.

Leeds made their way to the final four the hard way. They eventually breezed past Derby County away from home, before requiring penalties to overcome Championship side Birmingham City.

Norwich City were handily dispatched at Elland Road and then Leeds finally met Premier League opposition in the form of West Ham. Sunday's quarter-final appeared to be done and dusted when the Whites went 2-0 up, only for West Ham to score twice in the 11 minutes of time added on.

Penalties were necessary to split the sides and Lucas Perri repeated his St Andrews penalty heroics, saving twice before Pascal Struijk fired in the decisive spot-kick to send Leeds to Wembley. It will be the club's first appearance at the national stadium since their 2024 play-off final defeat by Southampton and a first FA Cup semi-final since 1987 when they lost to Coventry City at Hillsborough Stadium. Leeds have won the FA Cup once in their history, in 1972.
