England will discover their group stage opponents for next summer’s FIFA World Cup finals when the draw is made in Washington DC on Friday.
The Three Lions produced a record-breaking qualifying campaign to secure their spot in the tournament as Thomas Tuchel’s men won all eight games, scoring 22 goals and not conceding once during that time.
All eyes will now be on the players that will represent England at next summer’s finals in North America and undertake the latest attempt to secure a first senior World Cup final win since 1966.
Leeds United were represented in the squad that lifted the Jules Rimet Trophy with a historic 4-2 win against West Germany in the final - and their hopes of seeing a current player wearing the Three Lions on their chest next summer probably rest solely on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
With Harry Kane established as first-choice striker, there has been a lot of talk of who will provide backup for the Bayern Munich frontman. Remaining fit and continuing the sort of form that saw him bully Chelsea in a Premier League win on Wednesday night could put Calvert-Lewin in contention - but which former Whites stars would he follow in representing England at a World Cup finals as a current Leeds player?
