Leeds United return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host Newcastle United at Elland Road. Daniel Farke’s side will be desperate to put Wednesday’s 6-3 Carabao Cup defeat to Chelsea behind them and continue their impressive start to the league season.
The Whites have five points from their opening three games, as do opponents Newcastle who are higher in the league on goal difference. Farke will be without the injured Joe Rodon for Monday’s clash but a host of key players are expected to return to the starting-XI.
With that in mind, the YEP has attempted to predict how Farke could line his Whites side up on Monday night. Take a look below...

1. Predicted Leeds United XI
Let's take a look how Daniel Farke could line his Leeds side up.

2. GK: James Trafford
Back into the starting-XI after a midweek rest during which Michael Zetterer did little to threaten his first-team place. A long-term goalkeeper target of Newcastle's he'll no doubt be desperate to show them what they're missing. | Getty Images

3. CB: James Justin
One of three to start Brighton last weekend and Chelsea on Wednesday, highlighting his importance to Farke. Looks great in centre-back/right-back hybrid role and a little extra covering pace will be useful against Newcastle's counter-attacking threat. | Getty Images

4. CB: Nico Elvedi
Central centre-back feels like the one defensive area where there is proper competition but Jaka Bijol really struggled at Chelsea. Elvedi has looked very dependable when called upon and deserves to be first-choice at the moment. | Getty Images

5. CB: Tarik Muharemovic
No such competition on the left of the three, with Muharemovic one of only three to play every available minute so far. Opened his account at Chelsea and quickly becoming a fan favourite at Elland Road.

6. RWB: Jayden Bogle
Given a full rest in midweek and should be all the better for it, albeit he's been excellent so far anyway. Will likely be tasked with keeping Harvey Barnes quiet - which given his record against Leeds is not easy. | Annabel Lee-Ellis/PA Wire
