Leeds United team vs Chelsea confirmed as Daniel Farke hands out double debut amid eight changes
Leeds United face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third round tonight.
Daniel Farke has named his Leeds United starting XI to face Chelsea tonight with two debuts confirmed.
The Whites head to Stamford Bridge this evening looking to progress into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the first time since 2021/22. They beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 last month to get to this point and are unbeaten in four games across all competitions.
Earlier this week, Farke hinted there would be an element of rotation for tonight’s game given the quick turnaround from Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Brighton. And the Whites boss has made eight changes from the side that walked out at the Amex Stadium.

Michael Zetterer will make his debut with the 31-year-old picked ahead of James Trafford in goal. In front of him is expected to be a back four, with Jaka Bijol returning alongside Tarik Muharemovic while James Justin and debutant number two Melvin Bard are at right and left-back respectively.
Captain Ethan Ampadu is one of three to remain in the team, with Sean Longstaff alongside him in central midfield. A fluid trio of Brenden Aaronson, Harry Wilson and Daniel James - fit after a back and hamstring complaint - behind Lukas Nmecha.
Leeds XI in full: Zetterer; Justin, Bijol, Muharemovic, Bard; Ampadu, Longstaff; Wilson, Aaronson, James; Nmecha
Subs: Trafford, Bogle, Gudmundsson, Elvedi, Tanaka, Stach, Okafor, Bahoya, Calvert-Lewin
