Yorkshire festival Deer Shed announce more acts for 2026 festival - current line-up and tickets

North Yorkshire’s fiercely independent Deer Shed Festival has just unveiled its second wave of artists for 2026 - and it’s a masterclass in the future of British music.

After the success of their sell-out 15th anniversary, the festival is set to return to Baldersby Park, Topcliffe from July 24 to 26, and has added a fresh stack of talent this morning, including a homecoming set from a Yorkshire post-punk heavyweight.

Leading this morning’s announcement are DEADLETTER, the South London-based outfit with deep Yorkshire roots. Formed by childhood friends from the region, the six-piece has become one of the most talked-about names in post-punk, recently releasing their acclaimed debut album, Hysterical Strength.

Their return to Baldersby Park feels like a victory lap for a band that cut their teeth busking in Yorkshire town centres before conquering the capital’s DIY scene.

They are joined by an eclectic mix of global voices and emergent talent, including the Sweden-based, British-born Nigerian artist Joshua Idehen. A powerhouse of spoken word and music, Idehen is a familiar name to fans of Mercury-nominated acts like The Comet Is Coming and Sons of Kemet.

The announcement also brings a strong international and genre-blurring flavour to Baldersby Park, adding Dublin’s rising six-piece folk collective Madra Salach, who are currently making waves with their modern take on the traditional Irish folk canon, Brighton’s self-styled ‘wonk pop’ outfit Lime Garden, set to perform tracks from their acclaimed debut album One More Thing, and Norwich-based country-rock collective Brown Horse, who bring their signature blend of slacker-rock twang and alt-country lilt to North Yorkshire.

Rounding out this wave is the genre-defiant Murkage Dave, an uncompromising storyteller who kitbashes pop, indie, and UK garage, fresh from supporting long-time Deer Shed friends Yard Act on their recent European tour.

They join an already stacked line-up that includes 2026 headliners Sleaford Mods, Everything Everything, and Say She She, alongside special guests The Twilight Sad and Fat Dog. The bill also features a wealth of talent ranging from Bar Italia and Working Mens Club to Bill Ryder-Jones and Sorry.

Beyond the music, the festival’s renowned comedy billing is equally impressive, with icons Stewart Lee and Adam Buxton set to appear alongside award-winning satirist Rachel Parris and Laura Lexx. More names for the comedy stage are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

With over 60% of tickets already sold, the team is now gearing up for their most ambitious site build to date.

This year’s "Into The Labyrinth" theme will see a massive, sprawling maze erected in Baldersby Park, serving as the centrepiece for a weekend that also includes dedicated programmes for sport, cinema, and the literary arts.
