'A stronger collective voice': New online hub and network launched for Leeds night-time economy

The Leeds Night-Time Economy Group (LNEG) has unveiled its first dedicated website and networking programme to give the city's after-dark sector a unified voice

A new online resource and networking platform has been launched to unite the businesses, freelancers, and cultural organisations that power Leeds’ after-dark economy.

The Leeds Night-Time Economy Group (LNEG), an independent, volunteer-led organisation, has unveiled its first official website designed to act as a central meeting point and practical information hub.

Now representing more than 90 members across the city, the collective brings together independent venues, bars, clubs, restaurants, promoters, artists, DJs, suppliers, and support services.

Rather than launching as a finished product, organisers are actively inviting those working across the sector to help build the platform by sharing the tools, templates, contacts, and resources they need most.

At the core of the launch is a dedicated Members’ Space aimed at helping sector workers navigate shared industry challenges, alongside a new calendar of face-to-face networking events designed to foster local collaboration.

James Abbott-Donnelly, Co-founder of LNEG, said: "Leeds has an incredible night-time economy, but the people behind it have not always had one central place to connect, share knowledge or find the practical support they need.

"We want this website to become a genuinely useful home for our community, but we do not want to decide in isolation what that should look like. We are asking the people who run venues, organise events, perform, create, supply and work across the city after dark to tell us what would help them most and to build it with us."

Membership to LNEG is free and open to anyone professionally connected to the city's hospitality, entertainment, and night-time infrastructure.

What is the Leeds Night-Time Economy Group?

LNEG is an independent, volunteer-led network created by people working within Leeds’ night-time sector.

It exists to advocate for local operators, encourage collaboration, and support a safe, inclusive after-dark economy across the city.

How can I join LNEG and access the new website?

Sign-ups for free membership, access to the Members' Space, and details on upcoming networking events can be found on the official website or via Instagram.
