UK garage icon DJ EZ announces headline show at Leeds' Mint XL this October
Electronic music icon DJ EZ will take over Leeds' newest 2,500-capacity venue Mint XL this October alongside UK garage pioneer MJ Cole
One of the most influential figures in UK dance music, DJ EZ, is set to return to Leeds this autumn for a major headline show at Mint XL.
With a career spanning over three decades, DJ EZ remains a titan of the electronic music scene, celebrated for his technical precision, relentless energy, and marathon sets that have defined UK garage culture worldwide.
Joining him for the autumn spectacle is fellow UK garage pioneer MJ Cole - the legendary producer behind defining anthems like ‘Sincere’ and ‘Crazy Love’ - alongside a stacked roster of northern selectors including DJ Cosworth b2b Oldboy, Big AN, Shadev, and Mason Talbot.
The event marks one of the biggest nights yet for Mint XL, the city centre's ambitious new 2,500-capacity venue housed within the former PRYZM nightclub site on Woodhouse Lane.
Created by the team behind Mint Club, Mint Warehouse, and Mint Festival, the completely reimagined multi-room destination represents a major vote of confidence in West Yorkshire nightlife.
At the core of Mint XL sits an intense focus on production and sound architecture.
The main spaces are powered by a newly installed, flagship Funktion-One Vero sound system—the same world-class audio setup deployed on Glastonbury's iconic Glade Stage—paired with bespoke lighting design and high-spec visual production.
The venue will also operate a strict no-phones policy during club events to keep the crowd focused entirely on the music and the moment.
