Alternative rock giants Weezer are heading back to Leeds for a massive date on 'The Gathering Worldwide' tour, joined by emo icons Taking Back Sunday
American rock titans Weezer have officially announced a return to Leeds as part of the UK and European leg of their massive global run, ‘The Gathering Worldwide’ tour.
Formed in 1992, Rivers Cuomo and company have spent more than three decades crafting some of alternative rock's most enduring power-pop anthems.
From 1990s classics like 'Buddy Holly', 'Undone – The Sweater Song', and 'Say It Ain't So' off their self-titled debut Blue Album, to chart-topping 2000s smash hits like 'Hash Pipe' and 'Beverly Hills', the band remain one of the most influential guitar acts in modern rock history.
The upcoming headline appearance follows the announcement of their landmark 20th studio album, Weezer (Gold Album), featuring fresh lead singles 'Shine Again' and 'C.E.O.'
Fans attending the 2027 date can expect a broad, high-energy setlist bridging early career-defining cuts with brand-new material.
Sharing the stage as special guests for the UK tour are long-time emo and alternative rock giants Taking Back Sunday.
Celebrating over two decades as one of the genre's most theatrical live acts, the New York outfit - famous for scene staples like 'MakeDamnSure' and 'Cute Without the 'E'' - will bring soaring choruses and explosive energy to open the night.
In addition to the spectacular arena lineup, £1 from every ticket sold on the tour will be donated directly to the LIVE Trust to help protect and support UK grassroots music venues across the country.

Fans can secure entry online through authorised primary vendors including Ticketmaster, Live Nation and GigsandTours.
