He’s the towering ‘Taskmaster’ himself, the man who made a generation fear (and love) Mr Gilbert; Greg Davies is finally bringing his long-awaited return to stand-up to Leeds tomorrow.

It has been seven years since the 6ft 8in comedian last hit the road with a solo show, and the anticipation for his ‘Full Fat Legend’ tour has been nothing short of massive - perhaps more massive than the comedian himself.

Known for his self-deprecating tales, frantic energy, and an uncanny ability to find the ridiculous in the mundane, Davies remains one of the most beloved figures in British comedy.

After years of judging the creative efforts of others on Channel 4, he is stepping back into the spotlight to prove exactly why he is a heavyweight of the circuit.

Whether you’ve been a fan since his days in The Inbetweeners or you’ve recently joined the cult of Taskmaster, Sunday night in Leeds is shaping up to be a masterclass in arena-sized laughs.

To make sure your night is as smooth as possible, we’ve broken down everything you need to know before you head to the arena.

What is the bag policy for the First Direct Bank Arena?

The arena operates a strict policy to ensure safety and speed of entry.

You are permitted to bring one small bag or handbag, which must be no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm (approximately the size of an A3 sheet of paper).

What should I bring with me?

Aside from your sense of humour, keep it to the essentials:

  • Digital Tickets: Ensure you have the AXS or Ticketmaster app downloaded and your tickets ready to scan. The arena is a digital-only venue.
  • Payment Methods: The First Direct Bank Arena is cashless. Bring a debit/credit card or ensure your phone is set up for mobile payments (Apple/Google Pay) for drinks and merchandise.
  • Photo ID: If you look (un)lucky enough to be under 25, you’ll need ID to purchase alcohol at the bars.

What should I leave at home?

The venue has a zero-tolerance policy for several items.

If you bring these, you will be refused entry and, in some cases, may face further action:

  • Prohibited Substances: All illegal drugs and so-called "legal highs" are strictly banned.
  • Potential Weapons: Any item that could be deemed a weapon is prohibited.
  • Disruptive Items: Laser pointers and large banners or outside promotional material are not allowed inside the auditorium.
  • Backpacks & Large Bags: No rucksacks, suitcases, or holdalls. Even small "fashion" backpacks are frequently turned away.
  • Outside Food & Drink: Glass bottles, cans, and your own snacks must be left at home.
  • Professional Equipment: Large cameras with detachable lenses, GoPros, and tablets/iPads are also on the prohibited list.

Where can I park close to the First Direct Bank Arena?

While the arena doesn't have its own car park, there are several options within a 5-minute walk:

  • Woodhouse Lane Car Park: Often the most convenient, with a flat rate of £7 for arena events (between 6:00 PM and midnight).
  • Merrion Centre (CitiPark): Located directly opposite the arena, this is the "unofficial" main car park for the venue.
  • Q-Park St Johns: A safe, secure underground option just a short walk away on Albion Street.

Are there tickets left for Greg Davies in Leeds?

While the "Full Fat Legend" tour has been a massive seller, there is still hope for those looking for a last-minute seat.

At the time of writing, Ticketmaster still has limited availability across several blocks in the arena.

Prices for remaining seats currently start from £41.13 (plus handling fees of up to £3.25) for verified resale tickets in the higher tiers, such as Section 214.

For those wanting to be closer to the action, full-price tickets in the 300-level blocks (including Sections 321, 322, and 331) are largely priced at £59.50. A small number of verified resale tickets are also popping up in the lower tiers (Section 102) for approximately £71.39.

As these are likely to be snapped up quickly as we head into the weekend, we recommend checking the official Ticketmaster or AXS apps directly to secure any remaining spots.
