Indie-folk sensation Jamie Webster announces Leeds concert as part of major new UK tour

Fiercely independent singer-songwriter Jamie Webster has announced a highly anticipated return to Leeds as part of an intimate 15-date UK tour this autumn.

The Liverpool-born artist, who has built a massive grassroots following across the North, will headline the Leeds O2 Academy this September, as the tour announcement coincides with the reveal of his upcoming fourth studio album, Running Round The Sun, set for release on September 4.

Webster’s rise from working as a local electrician to becoming a chart-topping festival headliner has been one of the UK indie scene's biggest success stories of the decade.

After finding early viral fame performing folk-inflected anthems for football crowds, his debut records quickly propelled him into the mainstream.

He made history as the first-ever artist to secure a number one spot on the UK Official Folk Albums chart back in 2020, and has since earned two Top 5 albums with Moments and 10 For The People, alongside playing a massive 32,000-capacity headline show at Liverpool's Sefton Park.

The upcoming album, recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios, is preceded by his brand-new single Just Begun, which drops alongside a new music video earlier this week.

As part of the autumn tour, Webster will also play a nearby date at Sheffield Network on September 15 before heading to West Yorkshire.
