Leeds legend Stuart Dallas confirmed for star-studded tournament at Leeds Golf Centre - dates and tickets
Stuart Dallas leads a star-studded lineup of sporting legends, musicians, and professional golfers heading to north Leeds this summer
A star-studded lineup of footballing icons, global musicians, and professional golfers is set to descend on north Leeds this June as a revolutionary short-format tournament makes its historic UK debut.
The first celebrity names have officially been confirmed for Blitz Golf’s inaugural England Series, with former Leeds United icon Stuart Dallas leading a high-profile field.
Arriving at Leeds Golf Centre on Wike Ridge Lane in Shadwell, the fast-paced, high-stakes twilight event will also feature Manchester United legend Lee Sharpe, former footballer and pundit Jamie O’Hara, and Westlife’s Brian McFadden.
They will compete alongside international sports stars, including global cricket icons Glenn Maxwell and D’Arcy Short, musician Locky of electronic outfit Rudimental, and viral sports impressionist Conor Moore.
Bringing elite sport right to the city's doorstep, the showcase will also play host to DP World Tour players, LET stars, and rising professional talent, including Joe Dean, Richard Mansell, and leading golf influencer Lucy Robson.
Dubbed the "T-20 of the golfing world," Blitz Golf completely tears up the traditional tournament rulebook. Moving away from long, multi-day formats, it condenses action into an energetic three-hour knockout competition featuring a continuous progression of elimination rounds, multiple dramatic cuts, and sudden-death shootouts.
The tournament layout at Shadwell will even feature a custom, purpose-built "Stadium Hole" designed to generate a raucous, finals-style crowd atmosphere.
Beyond the sporting stakes, the afternoon functions as a broader community festival hub, bringing interactive fan zones, local premium hospitality, and live DJs and musicians directly to the course side.
Established in 2018, the short-format league moves to England following an immensely successful run across the Australian summer circuit, where it regularly delivered some of the largest attended dates in the country's sport.
Simon Zybek, CEO of Blitz Golf, said: “England is one of golf’s spiritual homes, so bringing Blitz here is a landmark moment for our Global Series. We’re not replacing traditional golf, we’re complementing it with a high-stakes, accessible format built for today’s fans.”
