Psychedelic group Pigeon announce Leeds headline show after Duran Duran arena support - date and tickets

The Margate five-piece have confirmed details for their highly anticipated return to Leeds following their massive autumn support slot at the First Direct Arena

The momentum behind psychedelic five-piece Pigeon shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Fresh from releasing their highly acclaimed debut album ‘OUTTANATIONAL,’ the band has today announced a major UK headline tour for January 2027 - with ticket and date details locked in for a highly anticipated return to Leeds.

Already hailed by The Times as "the most exciting band in years," the group has rapidly established themselves as one of the UK's most compelling new live acts. Their sound is an expansive, groove-driven melting pot of afro-disco, krautrock, punk-funk, and free-form improvisation.

Central to the band's identity is vocalist and percussionist Falle Nioke, whose extraordinary voice moves instinctively between six languages, including English, French, Susu, Fulani, Malinke, and Coniagui.

Written during his naturalisation process after relocating from Guinea-Conakry to the UK, the new material wrestles with questions of home and migration while remaining defiantly joyful and celebratory.

Alongside the tour announcement, Pigeon have shared a brilliant, satirical music video for their mutant-disco single "Future Country." Shot in a dead-serious, current-affairs television style, the video follows the band travelling through illegal time portals to the year 2126 because there is no work left for musicians in the present day.

The news comes as the band prepares to support pop royalty Duran Duran at the First Direct Bank Arena on October 24.

But while that massive arena slot is heavily anticipated, local fans won't have to wait long to see the band command their very own stage in a much more intimate setting.
