Doom giants Sunn O))) announce Leeds concert and new single - date and tickets
Doom rock giants Sunn O))) have announced their return to the United Kingdom this year, with Leeds confirmed as one of their touring locations.
The tour comes in support of their new self-titled album, which is set to drop on April 3, 2026, via Sub Pop, and to give fans a taste of the ‘thunderstorm’ to come, the duo recently unveiled their latest single, ‘Butch's Guns.’
Spanning over 15 minutes, the track is soaked in tension and weight, following the lead single ‘Glory Black’ in defining a new era for the band.

Recorded at Bear Creek Studios in Washington with producer Brad Wood, the new material was captured by blasting the music through open studio doors into the surrounding forest, using microphones placed hundreds of yards apart to create what Wood describes as "the world's largest stereo array."
For nearly 30 years, core members Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson have pushed the boundaries of what music can be.
Named after the Sunn amplifier brand, the band has become synonymous with ‘Maximum Volume Yields Maximum Results,’ with the amplifiers being more than a way to broadcast sound.
Instead, they are treated as the third member of the band. Their stage setup is legendary, often featuring a literal wall of vintage Sunn Model T heads and cabinets that act as an army of heavy artillery, generating sub-bass tones that can reach 120 decibels.
Their live shows are less like a standard concert and more like a physical event; shrouded in dense fog and performed in heavy robes, the duo creates a monolithic soundscape that you feel in your chest as much as you hear with your ears.
For this 2026 run, they are returning to their roots as a ‘pure duo,’ focusing on the primal intensity of two guitars and a literal mountain of amplifiers.
