The Coral announce Leeds concert as part of first headline UK tour in three years - date and tickets
Merseyside icons The Coral have revealed a massive Autumn tour supporting their stealth-released thirteenth album '388', including an intimate date in the city
Merseyside psych-pop icons The Coral have announced a highly anticipated return to Leeds as part of their first full headline UK tour in nearly three years.
The announcement comes just a month after the band executed a completely unannounced, stealth release of the 11-track record.
Eschewing traditional modern marketing campaigns, the album was quietly stocked on the shelves of independent record shops in late May on a single, standard black vinyl format with zero prior warning.

Cut loose from commercial pressures, the album was recorded using a vintage 1970s Tascam 388 tape recorder at Kempston Street Studios in Liverpool alongside long-term co-producer Chris Taylor.
Embracing a deeply human, purely analogue ‘warts and all’ ethos, the band deliberately kept studio mistakes intact to capture the spirit of their early formative days.
The tour announcement coincides with the release of an optimistic new single, ‘Leave It In The Past,’ accompanied by a nostalgic music video filmed among the stalls of Birkenhead Market by director James Slater.
Reflecting on the album's roots and the video's location, singer and songwriter James Skelly said: "Ian and I used to live above a pub in Charing Cross, Birkenhead and wander round the market at weekends. It was a magical place to us.
“The atmosphere of the place, and the characters you still find there, reflect the ethos of ‘388’. It’s simultaneously of today and another time entirely."
While the band has spent the summer performing select major festival slots and supporting high-profile friends, this six-date Autumn run marks their first dedicated headline tour since wrapping up their Sea Of Mirrors dates in December 2024.
