‘Cheeky’ fans of The Traitors have been going above and beyond in trying to find out the identity of the Secret Traitor.
The blockbuster BBC show introduced a massive twist for its fourth season - with an extra unknown traitor added to the game. It has kept audiences and players on their toes in equal measures.
However, while it appears as if the identity is set to be revealed at the conclusion of the latest cliff-hanger, some fans have tried to get ahead of the curve. Here’s all you need to know:

It has been another huge start for the BBC’s blockbuster reality in 2026. The introduction of a Secret Traitor has kept audiences - and the game’s own traitors - guessing.
In the final episode of the first week, viewers were left on a huge cliffhanger as the hidden traitor was about to be revealed. The date for the next episode has been confirmed - and there isn’t long to wait.
However, some ‘cheeky’ fans have tried to get a jump on the reveal and find out the identity early. In a post on her Instagram story, series four star Rachel Duffy wrote: “Folks you do realise a wee cheeky DM promising you’ll not tell anyone who the secret traitor is if I tell you isn’t going to happen.”
It is expected that the identity of the secret traitor will be revealed in Wednesday’s (January 7) episode. The Traitors is due to start at 8pm throughout the rest of the season.

Speaking after his banishment last week, former traitor Hugo said: “At first, I was annoyed to hear there was a Secret Traitor. I do not require middle management or supervision!
“However, I changed my game plan slightly to hunt down the Secret Traitor, ultimately becoming a bit obsessed and taking a very high risk.”
He added: “I've got mixed feelings about leaving the game. I love the game, and I think it's important that everyone plays to win. When I was there, it was such a fun time, I don’t think I fell out with anyone and I didn't do anything particularly devious or dastardly. So yeah, it was a great fun time to be there, but a good time to go. Always leave them wanting more.”
