Vietnamese street food chain to take place of closed Leeds city centre pub
An exciting new restaurant opening is coming to Leeds this autumn cut🍴
Vietnamese restaurant Pho is set to open a new site in Leeds city centre, replacing a classic pub which closed earlier this summer.
Pho is expected to open on Boar Lane in September, taking over the site of Tapped which closed in June after 12 years in Leeds.
The Vietnamese chain specialises in pho, a comforting noodle dish served with broth, herbs, and vegetables.

News of a standalone restaurant follows Pho’s success in Trinity Kitchen within Trinity Leeds, where it has been a vendor since 2013.
A spokesperson for Trinity Leeds said: “Pho has proved incredibly popular and is expanding its presence at Trinity Leeds with a bigger unit on Boar Lane, due to open later this year.
“Plans are already under way for the existing unit at Trinity Kitchen, which will be announced in due course.”

Pho takes over the site of American-style brewery pub Tapped which was known for its craft beer, real ale and stonebaked pizza.
In a statement on social media, the Tapped Leeds management thanked customers and said they were "proud" of the role they had played in “Leeds’ brilliant independent beer community.”
Pho’s new site is planned to open on Boar Lane in mid-September, with details of the opening date and a ‘Free Pho Day’ to come.
The new restaurant will have 87 covers and allow the brand to serve its full menu, including cocktails – like their signature Phojito - and desserts.
Libby Andrews, marketing director at Pho said: “We have loved operating in Leeds for the past 13 years.
“Relocating to Boar Lane is very exciting because it means we can serve more people seven days a week and offer our full menu - including cocktails and desserts.”
