From the sprawling Victorian grandeur of its heritage parks to the rugged, off-road trails of its ancient woodlands, our city offers a ‘green lung’ for every breed and energy level.
But as every dog walker knows, the only thing better than a long stroll in the fresh Yorkshire air is the promise of a warm welcome - and perhaps a bowl of water and a treat - at the finish line.
We’ve rounded up 13 of the most scenic and diverse walking spots across the city, ranging from inner-city havens to rural escapes, and, to make your next outing even easier, we’ve also scouted out a nearby dog-friendly pit stop for each location, so you and your pooch don't have to feel parched after walkies.
