Gardeners looking to add colour to their outdoor space through autumn and spring can pick up a collection of British-bred wallflowers from £9.99.
The Wallflower ‘Sugar Rush’ Mix produces highly scented flowers in a mixture of reds, purples, yellows, golds and whites. The plants are expected to flower for the first time during autumn before overwintering and producing another display in spring. Shoppers can buy the Wallflower ‘Sugar Rush’ Mix from YouGarden, with several plug plant and garden-ready options available.
The cheapest choice is a collection of 10 garden-ready plants for £9.99. Alternatively, shoppers can get 20 plug plants for £14.99 or 60 plug plants for £24.97, with the latter currently listed as a £20 saving against its reference price.
Garden-ready collections are also available in larger quantities. A pack of 20 costs £14.98, while 30 plants are priced at £19.97. The wallflower collection is available to pre-order, with the product page stating that orders are due to be dispatched from August 21.

Sugar Rush is a compact wallflower variety that grows to approximately 30cm tall, making it suitable for smaller beds, borders, pots and patio planters. It can be planted in full sun or light shade, although YouGarden recommends placing the plants together in blocks to create a denser display of colour.
The plants are described as winter hardy and able to cope with colder conditions, while their strong fragrance may also appeal to pollinators. Gardeners can choose from plug plants or garden-ready wallflowers, depending on how established they want the plants to be when they arrive.
Anyone choosing the smaller plug plants should unpack them immediately and stand them in water for around an hour. They can then be placed somewhere warm, bright and airy before being planted in their final position. YouGarden advises leaving approximately 20cm between each plant and using free-draining soil.
The retailer also recommends watering the plants when the top layer of compost begins to dry, rather than leaving them standing in water. A high-potash feed can help encourage flowering, while removing dead flowers and developing seed pods should extend the display.
The Sugar Rush wallflower deal starts from £9.99. Delivery normally takes place through a tracked courier service, although smaller orders may be sent by Royal Mail without tracking.
The collection has a product rating of 4.3 out of five based on 397 reviews. Several buyers praised the condition and packaging of their plants, although other reviews reported delays or problems with courier deliveries. Prices, availability and dispatch dates may change.
