Leeds United look set to launch their 2026/27 away shirt on Thursday morning as excitement builds ahead of another big summer. The club’s official X account posted a teaser on Wednesday, with a quick video of five people walking across the countryside, the first of which is twirling a scarf.
At the end of the video, a retro 1990s Leeds crest and Adidas trefoil logo pop up, both of which are expected to feature on next season’s away shirt. The release is set to come at 8am on Thursday morning and as anticipation builds, the YEP has ranked each of the club’s last 15 away-day designs.
Leeds have nailed the brief in recent years but it hasn’t always been that way, with some unusual offerings not living long in the memory of fans. Some have been assigned to big moments in recent years while others have simply been consigned to the history books. Take a look at the rankings from 15 down to 1 below.

The less said about this one the better. Strange design, non-traditional colours, it just never took off. And this was the relegation season, which never helps cement a shirt in history. | Getty Images

2. 14th: 2013/14
Ever thought of Leeds United and gone to the colour gold? Yeah, neither. It's hard to imagine a re-hash of this one any time soon. | Getty Images

3. 13th: 2014/15
The buttoned collar made this a little smarter but navy blue is not a Leeds colour. Looks more like a slick training top than anything else. | Getty Images

4. 12th: 2017/18
Kit designers Kappa went monochrome this season, with a full black away kit. It looks sharp, and the Kappa logo down each side is nice, but it's not Leeds. | Getty Images

5. 11th: 2018/19
The first away shirt of the Marcelo Bielsa era but another that looks more like a training top. Leeds' yellow third shirt this season was a much nicer and more traditional design. | Getty Images

6. 10th: 2020/21
This was Leeds' first Adidas shirt and an attempted nod back to the green stripes of the 1990s, but it didn't quite have the same retro feel. It did bring us a Patrick Bamford hat-trick at Aston Villa, though. | POOL/AFP via Getty Images
