Scottish pirate metal pioneers Alestorm and Finnish heavy metal giants Battle Beast are heading to Leeds in January

Scottish pirate metal pioneers Alestorm have officially announced a massive joint UK and Ireland headline tour for early 2027, bringing their legendary high-seas mayhem back to Leeds in January.

Formed in 2006, Alestorm have carved out a uniquely raucous niche in modern heavy music with their infectious fusion of folk, power metal, and swashbuckling pirate folklore.

Famous for their wild, party-heavy live sets - complete with crowd-surfing, giant inflatable rubber ducks, and beer-swilling singalongs - the band has built a dedicated global fanbase.

With iconic anthems such as ‘Drink,’ ‘Keelhauled,’ and ‘P.A.R.T.Y.,’ the Scottish outfit are guaranteed to deliver an unmissable spectacle of heavy riffs and chaotic energy.

Sharing top billing, Finnish metal sensation Battle Beast bring their trademark brand of 80s-infused heavy metal to the table.

Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Noora Louhimo, the six-piece band is celebrated for crunchy guitar work, soaring melodies, and irresistible arena-ready synth hooks.

Their reputation for delivering theatrical, high-octane live performances makes them the ultimate touring partner for a mid-winter metal celebration.

The support is further bolstered by extreme metal supergroup Wizardthrone, offering fans a comprehensive night of folk, power, and heavy metal storytelling.

Marking two years since Alestorm's last appearance in the city, this January date promises to be one of the loudest events to kick-start 2027 in Leeds.
