Mercury Prize nominee Dove Ellis announces autumn show at hallowed Leeds venue

Mercury Prize-nominated singer-songwriter Dove Ellis has officially announced a return to Leeds for a headline show later this year.

The Galway-born artist - real name Thomas O'Donoghue - has rapidly emerged as one of modern indie-folk's most compelling new voices following the massive success of his critically lauded 2025 debut album, Blizzard.

Blending rich chamber pop, soaring tenor vocals, and intimate acoustic soundscapes, the record earned a prestigious Mercury Prize nomination alongside widespread international acclaim.

Driven by standout singles like 'To The Sandals', 'Pale Song', and 'Love Is', he has spent the past year captivating audiences across Europe and North America, including major support slots alongside US indie stars Geese.

Known for his spellbinding live delivery, Ellis has built a reputation for turning ornate concert halls into magnetic, emotionally charged spaces.

The upcoming appearance comes just months after his previous performance in the city, bringing his soaring compositions into a uniquely grand setting.

Tucked inside the historic Leeds Grand Theatre complex on New Briggate, the host venue is celebrated across West Yorkshire for its world-class acoustics, Gothic vaulted ceiling, and intimate 300-capacity layout - making it a perfect match for Ellis’s delicate, atmospheric arrangements.
