Britpop greats Republica to celebrate 30th anniversary with Leeds concert - date and tickets
Iconic Britpop trailblazers Republica have officially announced a definitive UK headline tour for Autumn 2026.
Marking three decades since their explosive arrival on the global stage, the tour celebrates the enduring legacy of a band that defined the ‘techno-pop, punk rock’ aesthetic of the late 90s.
Fronted by the incomparable Saffron, Republica stood at the vanguard of the female-fronted revolution alongside peers like Elastica, Sleeper, and Garbage.
With over three million albums sold and a UK Top 3 debut, the band helped pivot the British alternative scene toward a harder, electronic-infused edge.

Today, Republica’s influence is experiencing a massive resurgence.
Their anthems, ‘Ready to Go’ and ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous,’ are still staples of modern soundtracks, featuring prominently in works as wide ranging as the MCU and Ted Lasso to cult hits like Yellowjackets.
The tour follows a string of high-profile appearances for Saffron, including a featured performance with Alex James’ (Blur) Britpop Orchestra, reaffirming the band's position at the heart of the UK’s current cultural revival.
This 30th-anniversary run promises a high-octane celebration of their history, bridging the gap between original fans and a new generation discovering the power of the Britpop era.
"It’s incredible to think it’s been 30 years," says Saffron. "These songs still feel as urgent and exciting as they did the day we wrote them. We can’t wait to get back out there and celebrate three decades of music with everyone."
