Drum & bass legends Roni Size Reprazent will perform in Leeds as a full live band as part of a major UK tour celebrating 30 years of their ground-breaking album New Forms
Drum & bass pioneers Roni Size Reprazent have announced a return to the stage with a major UK tour celebrating three decades of their landmark Mercury Prize-winning album, New Forms.
The 1997 album fundamentally changed the landscape of electronic music, taking drum & bass from underground rave culture into mainstream music history.
Fusing live instrumentation, jazz, soul, and hip-hop, the Bristol collective went on to beat out heavyweights including Radiohead, The Prodigy, and Suede to claim the 1997 Mercury Music Prize.
The upcoming 30th anniversary tour will see Roni Size perform on keys alongside a full eight-piece live setup - including vocals from Dynamite MC and Onallee, Si John on bass, live drums, and two additional keyboardists.
Fans can expect full live renditions of classic tracks including ‘Brown Paper Bag’, ‘Heroes’, and ‘Watching Windows’, alongside special guest support from fellow genre pioneers Fabio & Grooverider.
Looking ahead to the tour, Roni Size said: "30 years ago we started something that was never supposed to stand still. Three decades later, the sound is still moving forward.
“Reprazent are back - 30 years, one legacy, and a whole new journey."
