Indie and post-punk fans in Leeds are in for a festive treat as Sunderland favourites The Futureheads have officially added a Leeds e date to their upcoming 'Christmas Live!' tour.

Best known for their 2004 self-titled debut album - which spawned indie-disco anthems like ‘Decent Days and Nights’ and their top-10, NME Single of the Year-winning cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Hounds of Love ’-the band remain a staple of the 2000s UK indie explosion.

Having released six studio albums and toured alongside the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Pixies, and Foo Fighters throughout their 20-plus-year career, the band are known for bringing high-tempo, nostalgic energy to intimate club venues.

Now, following high demand for their previously announced hometown shows, the band are heading back to West Yorkshire for a headline festive date at one of the region's most iconic music hubs.

Writing on social media, the band shared their excitement about returning to the venue: "Delighted to be back at @nath_brudenell for the first time in a while this December as well as a festive show in London at @26leakestreet!”

The Leeds performance will mark the official launch of their festive run, before the four-piece head down to 26 Leake Street in London and wrap up with a three-night stint at The Fire Station in Sunderland.
