Leeds Pride 2026: Headline acts announced for brand-new Freedom Party event
To mark 20 years of Leeds Pride, organisers have announced a new ticketed Saturday event on Lower Briggate featuring performances from former Atomic Kitten and Sugababes singers
Leeds Pride has announced two major headline acts for its brand-new Freedom Party event taking place in July, as organisers gear up to celebrate 20 years of Leeds Pride.
Taking over Lower Briggate in the heart of Leeds city centre, the all-day celebration will welcome chart-topping pop favourites Amelle Berrabah and Natasha Hamilton as headline performers.
Performing as Amelle - Sugababes Reloaded, former Sugababes star Amelle will bring pop hits and performances to the Freedom Party main stage.
She shares the top billing for the all-day event with Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton, who will also feature as a headline performer.
The entertainment-packed schedule is set to run for a total of ten hours, and during this ten-hour window, the Freedom Party will offer live entertainment across two separate performance areas, split between the Main Stage and a dedicated Cabaret Stage.
Alongside a programme of live performances featuring both local talent and nationally recognised acts, the event site will host food vendors and market stalls.
Organisers have also confirmed that the festival atmosphere on Lower Briggate will be supported by direct collaborations with local venues throughout the day.
The Freedom Party forms part of Leeds Pride’s milestone 20th anniversary celebrations, with organisers expecting thousands of visitors to descend on the city centre for the occasion.
A Leeds Pride spokesperson said: “As we celebrate 20 years of Leeds Pride, we wanted to create something really special for the city. Bringing artists like Amelle and Natasha Hamilton to the Freedom Party is a huge moment for us and we can’t wait to welcome people for an unforgettable day of music, celebration and community in the heart of Leeds.”
